If you read Dr. Scott Atlas’s book, A PLAGUE UPON OUR HOUSE, Dr. Atlas attempted repeatedly to hand out life rafts in this sinking ship. Everyone, including Trump, ignored him. Atlas doesn’t bash Trump at all in his book however; it is apparent Trump was cowed. It’s a tough read, knowing the Truth was being rejected.

The number one thing by far was keep America a sovereign nation under our own constitution and do not be ruled by the UN, get out of the Trans-Pacific Partnership and the Paris climate accords, reduce federal regulations and taxes on business, take care of veterans, control immigration, make quick work of enemies such as Isis, don't start any new wars and try to end the ones we have, recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital and encourage Israel peace treaties with UAE, Bahrain, and Morocco, and basically reverse the decline we've all seen over our lifetimes, especially older Americans like Trump (and myself). However, Trump was not only terrible on early treatments and Covid vaccines, he failed to reduce government spending and never vetoed a spending bill. Under him, the national debt kept growing at the same rate as under Bush and Obama - doubling every eight years. In fact it even got worse his last year because of the Covid relief checks. The inflation we're seeing now is because of the Trump Covid response. He was terrible on trade, replacing NAFTA with USMCA, which was even worse according to experts like Ron Paul and The New American Magazine. And tariffs are terrible trade policy - they are taxes on American consumers and lower their standard of living. They have often led to wars in the past, such as the tariffs the North imposed on the South that led to the Civil War, or economic depressions such as the Smoot-Hawley Act which prolonged the Great Depression of the 1930's. The best way to deal with China was not through tariffs but by ending all subsidies and loan guarantees for companies doing business with them, kick out Chinese spies, make US businesses more competitive by reducing expensive red tape and onerous regulations and taxes, etc. DeSantis is much more politically savvy in defending himself against the lying media using facts and arguments, whereas Trump responds mostly in generalities. I hope DeSantis is as much of an America First guy as Trump, in which case he has my support over Trump.
