There is state supported culling of invasive snakes. And please stop writing fear porn about this. It is not as prevalent as you make it out to be. Wild life anywhere is dangerous. Please stop. Just stop.
not blaming Ron, but when the first child dissappears you will sing another song, its coming. its a numbers game. as you see with the alligators. I am just sharing. I spend lots of time in Florida.
3 or 4 fatal alligator attacks in Florida (1 is pending autopsy)
1 fatal alligator attack in Louisiana
Compare that to well over 1.5 million Americans dying prematurely from diseases correlated with metabolic syndrome every year? If Americans understood the evils of the Standard American Diet, that knowledge likely would reduce that number by thousands of times the number of gator deaths per year.
I once had one dangling over my head in the jungles outside of Phuket, thailand. Had just run a race with an odd bunch of international characters, the Hash House Harriers. Thought I would win too, was in my best shape, but they crushed me, because as I later learned from my buddy who was a member "all the old guys cheated!" I was catching my breath, at altitude, in the very muggy jungle. When this immense/obese South African Boer guy slammed in to me! I was strong but thin way back then, and he knocked the wind out of me, was laying on me, pointed up, and there was a super stealthy 10 ft or so python. that decided I might be fun to play with.
Only time I ever ran with them, their motto is, "A drinking club with a running problem!" The last man or woman back, removes their shorts, and sits bare assed on a block of ice. That was almost me!
I was kinda hoping it would be this pretty little, 20 year old Thai mistress of one of the fat, old German guys! Her name was "Von." Sadly, she did well, and very unfortunately, it was a fat man, severely under-endowed, who got the block!
Don't ruminate on Florida, Paul. Focus on DC's NWO domestic terrorists on the damn federal payroll, plus more, but one-thing-at-a-time. And what, pray tell, do you know about Florida? I have a zillion relatives down there, nearly all elderly, all doing well, complaints are the same, snow bird this snow bird that. Trust me on that. :) (edited)
Well, this is a little known problem, doesn't get much attention in the media. I'm upset to hear that an 85 year old woman was killed by an alligator. And huge pythons can swallow a dog, child, person, whole.
Yes, Ron DeSantard needs to take care of his own state, isn't he Governor there? Why is he in Iowa 100% of the time?
He's in Iowa trying to undermine Trump but I suspect there is some sort of gay scene there too that attracts him. There is a gay face algorithm that can identify gays from photographs. I am sure it would pick out DeSantis. He has "gay face." Big time! He needs to come out of the closet. It's morally wrong to try to deceive homophobes like me into voting for gays who are pretending to be straight.
Haha, that's the first I've heard about a face algorithm, but I have heard speculation he's gay. And we were already deceived by Obama, and his husband Mike. Don't need that again.
I live on a lake in a rural Florida town, we have gators in our pond and in 12 years only one incident where the gator came into someone’s yard and grabbed their dog. They were able to save it, thankfully. Gators are protected in Florida for some reason, I have dogs and I do worry about them so I keep a very watchful eye on them. I just wish we could shoot them legally because they are a good source of food and taste pretty good.
FL fish and game does sell permits for gators, for certain areas. See about your area on their site, then EVEN if your area has granted permits, make sure your neighbors are ok with shooting one on your property as I would use a 50 caliber shotgun slug, making sure he's not in the water. Just me, as I some people love watching gators, lso kinda becomes pets. Unless emergency kill, (like defending kids or fur baby dog/cat, I'd check with them to see if any have a pet attitude toward one. Never know. I'd check first to see if a gator dresser would come out and his fee. PIA cleaning them unless you have butcher skills, still would be tricky. Meat's good. (while on subject, 50 caliber round usage, have to make CERTAIN that will hit ground on other side of gator as it's kinda like a damn canon ball, meaning, don't want to hit anything except the critter. )
My dumb neighbor on the other side of the lake was feeding the gator, I’m sure that’s why one came into my neighbors yard 3 houses down to attack her golden retriever. We called to have it removed and was told it has to be a nuisance to people, animals don’t count as far as they’re concerned.
Good on you for giving this problem the attention it deserves Dr. Alexander. DeSantis needs to slither back to Florida and deal with the problem instead of obstructing the efforts of a far better man to Make America Great Again. All that he and his low IQ RINO supporters are doing is helping DeSantis and the Democrats.
Not that Dr. Paul's post was good, but you continue your streak of inanity. Can you point me to where you have called out any other governor for not addressing snakes in their state? CDC says 7,000-8,000 people in USA bit by venomous snakes annually. This appears to be an issue you really care about. So what have you done with the other 49 states? At the least point me to where it says a governor should done camo and go hunting and blasting snakes. I'm no fan of Gruesome Newsome or the fake governor in Arizona, but I wouldn't put that on them. You continue to act like one of those feds who hung around the Capitol on Jan. 6th.....
I thought Dr. Alexander's post was excellent. He spends a bit of time in Florida, visiting Mar-a-Lago and probably elsewhere. I suspect President Trump shares his concerns. Dr. Alexander's post was about Florida and DeSantis. That's what the subject of the pist was about, not about other governors in other states. None of these other governors, not even Newsom, are currently engaged in a vanity exercise. Neither DeSantis nor the other governors may be able to prevent every snake attack in their state, but at least they are focused on the needs of the people of their state, doing what they were elected to do. I used to like DeSantis. He is better than a Democrat. Even President Trump has praised him as an average Republican governor. I agree
I think he should keep on doing the average job he has proven capable of at state level. I used to like him, before he and his supporters proved to be assets of the Democrats. This vanity exercise of competing against Trump has turned out to be even more disastrous than anyone with half a brain could foresee was going to be the case. He's hit 4th place in some polls. Even former DeSantis PAC leaders have commented that the more people see of him, the more they hate him. He's blown his chances for 2028. He is never going to recover from all of his blundering. If Biden or his successor does win it will be his fault and those of the fools that supported him He has forced President Trump to divert valuable resources away from fighting Democrats. He truly is another Zelensky. Of course he cannot prevent every gator or python attack in Florida but Dr. Alexander has noted that the trajectory of the problems in Florida is alarming, and at risk of escalating. DeSantis has the vompetence to donan average job at state level and that's what DeSantis needs to focus on.
This is one of your silly posts. There are any where from 3-7 major gator attacks on average going back the last 50 years. What is different now is that they get blasted around the world in an hour and sensationalized. Don't do what the Left does with hurricanes, making things appear much more frequent/dangerous than they really are. There are 3.8 bear attacks a year in Alaska, but you don't post about that. There are 4-6 cougar (mountain Lion) attacks a year in the US/Canada. But you don't post about that. There are 250-350 rattlesnake bites a year in Arizona, and the CDC says there are 7,000-8,000 venomous snake bites a year in the USA. Unless you think that Ron should be putting on some camo and hiking around Florida with a shotgun shooting pythons, let it rest. He isn't going to get the nomination. Posts like this make you look biased.

But, 85 year old's shouldn't die like that.
Pythons are swallowing people in Indonesia, better blame DeSantis!
not blaming Ron, but when the first child dissappears you will sing another song, its coming. its a numbers game. as you see with the alligators. I am just sharing. I spend lots of time in Florida.
This _decade_, haven't there been:
4 fatal alligator attacks in South Carolina
3 or 4 fatal alligator attacks in Florida (1 is pending autopsy)
1 fatal alligator attack in Louisiana

Even for bad Covid outcomes, which you, Dr. Paul, are the world expert on, knowledge about how to improve diet and lifestyle was hugely beneficial: https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20210628005728/en/Diabetes-Reversal-Leader-Virta-Health-Demonstrates-Promising-Results-on-Mitigating-COVID-19-Severity-for-People-with-Type-2-Diabetes
Excellent post Dr. Alexander. Please keep them coming.

Sounds like you were saved by some boorish behavior.
Also sounds like the Harriers are quite the characters.
Only time I ever ran with them, their motto is, "A drinking club with a running problem!" The last man or woman back, removes their shorts, and sits bare assed on a block of ice. That was almost me!
That would have been embareassing !

Dr. Paul generates more posts than he should every day. All he needs to do is drop the worthless ones like this.

I heard about some sort of gay meter on the Office. I think it detected Dwight as being gay if I remember correctly.
That wouln't surprise me.

And it's not just a Florida problem.
There are lots of reptiles in Congress, also.
This week:
People killed by snakes in Florida: 0
People murdered by gangs: 400
People killed by the medical industry: 5000
People killed by poor lifestyle choices: 63% increase in all cause mortality
Someone was killed by a gator just yesterday in Pinellas County FL.
Frisbee man. Now how many died of vaccine adverse reactions? Fentanol? Drunk drivers?

No, please don't shoot and eat your dogs.
Oh, you mean the alligators. I hear they taste like chicken.
Gator does kinda taste like chicken. They sell it at some of the local restaurants.
I don't know about gators, but when I are crocodile, it had the texture of chicken and the flavor of fish. Nice combo!

Another attack vector on the good governor of FL, it seems. There is no such thing as agenda-free media.
Warp speed. Do it warp speed? Moron

The DeSantard Simps are really just UniParty Trump haters. And losers.
Well said Dave! Truer words were never spoken.

Your satire is great, hints of irony and dark humor.
Desantis has way bigger problems !!
