There was so much propaganda coming out of Wuhan in early 2020 and I fell for it. I’ve told myself never again, not falling for it this time even if those videos are legit. It won’t work this time, we know too much about the virus and we didn’t in 2020.

The only way another nationwide lockdown makes sense is if marshal law was in play, while 2022 might warrant concern, I feel like 2024 is the most likely year this all plays out again under a “new issue”, presupposing “election engineering” is not perfected by that time.
I don't think Shanghai's dystopian lockdown is about the US, though I agree with you that the DeepState would happily use this as an excuse to lockdown here and bring back all of the election meddling techniques they pulled out for the 2020 election (mail in voting being the big one). Xi Jingping will give the 20th Party Congress his version of the State of the Union speech covering the last 5 years of his accomplishments and the governments priorities for the next 5 years; its his pitch for why he should be extended for an unprecedented (since Mao) additional term in office, or retitled "Chairman." Xi is Beijing faction, Jiang Zemin the old President is from Shanghai faction and all of Xi's anti corruption purges have been aimed at Jiang's supporters for the last 10 years. These lockdowns are Jiang's faction trying to pin this dystopian nightmare on Xi by saying they were just following Xi's central government directives and the chaos that resulted from following those orders wasn't their fault. This whole affair is an internal CCP power struggle to decide whether or not Xi will become President for Life or be replaced by someone else. But the DeepState will take advantage of this situation and blame it on Covid and completely ignore the domestic political reason for the chaos in Shanghai.
