Firefighters regularly rush into burning buildings filled with explosive chemicals to rescue children. I cannot for the life of me understand how police could have waited up to one hour while a murderer was inside a school shooting children. WTF. Sorry this is insane. The chief should resign yesterday and get on his knees and beg for forgiveness from the families.

It appears the "first responders" were ordered to stand down until the deed was done, like the fighter jets on 9/11.

Have we maybe flipped into the new reality altogether? Has the War fully begun? The blm rioters were peaceful, St Floyd was a martyr, the Virginia parents were terrorists, so were Jan 6 strollers; Unvaxxed are evil murderers, abortions till after birth are heroic life savers, Kyle was a white supremacist killer, the Christmas parade killer was just misunderstood, Jussie was a victim of MAGA muggers

... So stands to reason for new woke cops to hold back those obnoxious violent parents trying to interrupt gentle Mr Ramos in his contemplative journey of self-discovery involving killing kids with an AR-15 in a junior school.

It’s a truly sad day in America when the Texas police stand by in cowardice and fail to act on behalf of children. Just goes to show they do t give a shit about anyone but themselves.

The problem with human beings is that they follow bad orders. Fail to think for themselves. Or, are complicit in horrible actions.

Every single high school and college student should be required to study the Milgram Experiment.

All First Responders. All Doctors and Nurses. All Legislators. All Teachers.

And other basic human psychological understandings.

We desperately need critical thinking skills, compassion and courage to be developed in all individuals. Developing moral capacity coupled with independent critical thinking in all those handling emergencies or sitting in authority should be our highest goal.

NOT rote obedience to bad orders.

That's a terrible direction indeed.

Police, for the most part, are operating with no or little oversight. They do whatever they want. If a fireman refused to enter a burning building, would he be kept on the payroll? These police need to be fired. AND, there need to be serious oversight boards, peopled by those familiar with policing, and law & willing to make hard decisions & stick with them. I'm in Nova Scotia, Canada. We had a guy, dressed as police, driving a replica police car massacre 23 people 2 years ago, with almost no intervention by police (except the guy who shot & killed him at a gas station). The rest were simply completely ineffective from start to finish. It's lovely you want to walk the middle line, but police with no oversight are more dangerous than the criminals.

Were the police ordered to stand down ? Was that order part of what appears to be a purposeful plan to continue these heinous shootings until the elites get the confiscation of guns into law ?

Immediately the politicians like Beto and Hollywood buffoons like Alyssa Milano and Rob Reiner

showed their total ignorance in using this tragedy as a further call to confiscation.

I want to know what medications, if any, the shooter was on.

Why did no one in the school lock a door after listening to the boy shooting at the funeral home across the street for 12 minutes. Because it was a false flag timed to coincide with the NRA convention and make another grab for our guns...They are desperate. We know the government has killed lots of Americans whose death either hid or aided an agenda. When you look at the rate of pedophilia among high ranking people, why should killing children matter?

I was just watching Fox News (because my husband cares for it) and they claim the police felt they were not equipped to handle the situation, so they called in the 'special forces'. No one inquired as to why it took them 45 minutes to arrive. Why are they not questioning this? Lives could have been saved...

What would your comments look like had the officers stormed in and shot children by accident? The comments here would be lit up. Now, it appears that the protocol for swat with an active shooter needs to revisit that.

This mentally deranged shooter was known to others, was a major pothead and was angry at the world because his grandmother said he couldn’t smoke weed. So he decided to shoot in the school that ‘ruined his world’ he’s a narcissistic loser. That’s the end of the story

It is disgraceful. And I am a supporter of police, but this was just wrong. Someone needs to be fired/held accountable.

Rush in and get shot? Not saying what they should have done, but it is foolish to run into an ambush. Some assessment and planning is required. You are so emotional. Infantrymen have the skills for this, hopefully.

There is no difference in these kids murdered in the school and the millions murdered at planned parenthood. Full stop.
