Firefighters regularly rush into burning buildings filled with explosive chemicals to rescue children. I cannot for the life of me understand how police could have waited up to one hour while a murderer was inside a school shooting children. WTF. Sorry this is insane. The chief should resign yesterday and get on his knees and beg for forgiveness from the families.

WOKE policing has turned law enforcement into a less instinctive and more ineffectual practice. Heroes never ask permission to act.

Expand full comment

100 percent. Now with Every police officer worried about being arrested and charged with crimes while doing their job, the end result appears to have caused early retirements, crime rates to spike and serious hesitation (understandable in Many cases) to act when seconds matter most. I do not blame rank and file, I blame the leadership.

It appears the "first responders" were ordered to stand down until the deed was done, like the fighter jets on 9/11.

Or like all law enforcement officers who watched BLM rioters ravage cities, block traffic, and deface monuments.

The revolution is going on in real time. Prepare yourselves.

Can you link some evidence of this?

Have we maybe flipped into the new reality altogether? Has the War fully begun? The blm rioters were peaceful, St Floyd was a martyr, the Virginia parents were terrorists, so were Jan 6 strollers; Unvaxxed are evil murderers, abortions till after birth are heroic life savers, Kyle was a white supremacist killer, the Christmas parade killer was just misunderstood, Jussie was a victim of MAGA muggers

... So stands to reason for new woke cops to hold back those obnoxious violent parents trying to interrupt gentle Mr Ramos in his contemplative journey of self-discovery involving killing kids with an AR-15 in a junior school.

It’s a truly sad day in America when the Texas police stand by in cowardice and fail to act on behalf of children. Just goes to show they do t give a shit about anyone but themselves.

The problem with human beings is that they follow bad orders. Fail to think for themselves. Or, are complicit in horrible actions.

Every single high school and college student should be required to study the Milgram Experiment.

All First Responders. All Doctors and Nurses. All Legislators. All Teachers.

And other basic human psychological understandings.

We desperately need critical thinking skills, compassion and courage to be developed in all individuals. Developing moral capacity coupled with independent critical thinking in all those handling emergencies or sitting in authority should be our highest goal.

NOT rote obedience to bad orders.

That's a terrible direction indeed.

Police, for the most part, are operating with no or little oversight. They do whatever they want. If a fireman refused to enter a burning building, would he be kept on the payroll? These police need to be fired. AND, there need to be serious oversight boards, peopled by those familiar with policing, and law & willing to make hard decisions & stick with them. I'm in Nova Scotia, Canada. We had a guy, dressed as police, driving a replica police car massacre 23 people 2 years ago, with almost no intervention by police (except the guy who shot & killed him at a gas station). The rest were simply completely ineffective from start to finish. It's lovely you want to walk the middle line, but police with no oversight are more dangerous than the criminals.

Were the police ordered to stand down ? Was that order part of what appears to be a purposeful plan to continue these heinous shootings until the elites get the confiscation of guns into law ?

Immediately the politicians like Beto and Hollywood buffoons like Alyssa Milano and Rob Reiner

showed their total ignorance in using this tragedy as a further call to confiscation.

I want to know what medications, if any, the shooter was on.

Why did no one in the school lock a door after listening to the boy shooting at the funeral home across the street for 12 minutes. Because it was a false flag timed to coincide with the NRA convention and make another grab for our guns...They are desperate. We know the government has killed lots of Americans whose death either hid or aided an agenda. When you look at the rate of pedophilia among high ranking people, why should killing children matter?

Expand full comment

Worse then this, apparently someone in the school PROPPED a OPEN a side door just MINUTES before the shooter arrived. WHO propped open the door. WHY did they prop open the door?

Expand full comment

I was just watching Fox News (because my husband cares for it) and they claim the police felt they were not equipped to handle the situation, so they called in the 'special forces'. No one inquired as to why it took them 45 minutes to arrive. Why are they not questioning this? Lives could have been saved...

70 miles away had something to do with it.

Expand full comment

Are you telling me that there were no qualified support less than 70 miles away? From what I understand police were trained to deal with this type of situation. Do you think the condemnation of police following the George Floyd incident had anything to do with their response? Now they're saying a teacher left a door propped open which the shooter used to access entry. The f**k ups seem to be piling up

It is a small town. 6 man police force. Possibly the teachers used that door for smoke breaks or something.

If Uvalde's police force consists of only 6 officers, how do you explain reports that there were 19 officers on the scene until the special forces arrived from the border 70 miles away? Just curious...

If the shooter had provided advance notice in writing, they could have all been there on time with the right equipment. Instead they arrived with what they had in the car at the time and had to drive varying distances. It was an emergency call.

What would your comments look like had the officers stormed in and shot children by accident? The comments here would be lit up. Now, it appears that the protocol for swat with an active shooter needs to revisit that.

This mentally deranged shooter was known to others, was a major pothead and was angry at the world because his grandmother said he couldn’t smoke weed. So he decided to shoot in the school that ‘ruined his world’ he’s a narcissistic loser. That’s the end of the story

Difficult to say why - but it looks like everything is being done to unhinge the society - men with penises competing against women in sports --- primary school kids being told to use vegetables to masturbate if they cannot afford proper sex toys --- trannies performing in primary schools ... endless mass shootings (funny nobody ever shoots people who deserve to be shot)...

An unhinged society is rudderless.. and will be more likely to do what they are told?

It is disgraceful. And I am a supporter of police, but this was just wrong. Someone needs to be fired/held accountable.

Rush in and get shot? Not saying what they should have done, but it is foolish to run into an ambush. Some assessment and planning is required. You are so emotional. Infantrymen have the skills for this, hopefully.

no one said run into an ambush. the time lines dont make sense. things dont add up and I am defending the police always. let us see what the next couple of days bring for the story is changing by the hour. if terrible mistakes were made we have to know to fix. and we also need to get to the bottom of how this could have happened as to the shooter himself. IMO, its beyond guns. I have made my thoughts known and btw, its just my opinion. I just so much appreciate other people's views especially if it differs to mines for I want to learn.

Firefighters regularly rush into burning buildings with explosive chemicals to save children and anyone trapped for that matter. They don’t wait because their wouldn’t be any survivors otherwise. how is this any different?

Bullshit. I don't have Tee Vee but I have seen bits of those Cops shows... the cops don't sit around planning when they have bust into a gang bangers drug lair... they come in full force bashing down the door and shooting to kill.

This ain't Koombaya Cops here... this is Umerica... where the cops are all juiced on roids and wanting kills... normally they'd be scrambling over each other to get that notch on the belt...

Something is off about this ...

You think those swat raids aren't planned??? They have every door and window covered and have all the equipment and protective gear in place. The whole squad is coordinated to be in the right place at the right time for a rapid attack. It doesn't happen by accident.

And they are dealing with a single shooter --- and he' ain't Rambo --- he's a high school student.

I don't watch movies - I don't have a Tee Vee... and I don't do movie theatres --- those are dangerous places what with all these shooters on the loose and cowardly cops.

Standing around for an hour eating donuts and wondering what to do ... cuz they've never had any training to deal with something like this so they had to make it up on the spot.

Right?

If you stood around for an hour in a combat situation with your mates under fire they'd all be dead as would you.

You do not 'stand around' when the lead is flying.

And this is one shooter... a kid...

Someone gave the order to not go in there. Cuz they wanted mass mayhem to play out first

Expand full comment

One shooter with a rifle in a defensive position can take out ten, twenty, or more attackers who can only approach though a empty hall or doorway. They would have no cover until the bodies pile up enough.

Expand full comment

Surely they have stun grenades and other gear... they train for this.

But I am sure the training does not involve standing around doing nothing.

Even the parents were willing to go in there... the parents - unarmed!

I guess the cops are either cowards - or incompetent. Take your pic.

Expand full comment

No, if you stand up under fire you are dead immediately. The police were under fire. It is a small town, they didn't have tactical gear. Police responded from up to 70 miles away. That takes time. The border guards arrived with a ballistic shield and they used it.

Stupid, you need to think on your feet like the soldiers in a war zone, kids were dieing you don't think about covering your ass at a time like that.

I don’t blame the rank and file. I blame the leadership. The chief should resign immediately. I know I have said this multiple times but firefighters rush into burning buildings on verge of collapse or already collapsed buildings putting themselves and others in grave danger to save children, how is this any different? Again I am not blaming individual officers I am blaming tactics and procedures set forth by the Chief and others in command.

The police seem to be brave when it comes to beating the shit out of or tazing defenceless people (and sometimes choking them to death)... but when it comes to a lone gunman (a kid) they aren't so brave are they.

They stand around for an hour eating donuts and drinking coffee and waiting till he runs out of ammo... before lifting a finger.

There is no excuse for this ... there is no excuse -- for doing nothing. These cops should be stood down and put on duty handing out parking tickets.

They are a disgrace

When seconds count, people with 50+ rounds of ammo on their person can't afford to wait around for SWAT. At the very least they could've found some cover and concealment and drew fire from him.

Expand full comment

The shooter did not provide a written plan and diagram to the police in advance. He is likely in command of the terrain. You can be dead before you take 2 steps through the door, not knowing what is inside or where he is. You can't see through walls. It doesn't matter how many rounds you are carrying. How do you find cover in a hallway?

Have you ever had any infantry training? It is very easy to get killed.

Expand full comment

Or this is a false flag operation and they wanted to make sure he killed enough people before going in ... the purpose being to further terrorize the public and destabilize society to make people feel helpless and be more willing to do what they are told.

Expand full comment

All true and all acceptable risks when children are getting slaughtered. You can sit around and think of what-if scenarios for hours. At some point *quickly* you've got to make an informed tactical decision and go with it. Quit trying to excuse cowardice.

And there is plenty of room for cover and concealment in a school.
