Veteran's Day is coming November 11th 2023, but everyday should be Veteran's Day; I wanted to say ahead of time, 'thank you for your service and I hope you are getting societal support you deserve'
military, active, veteran, police, all branches are among the very best of us and they lay their lives down, US, Canada, UK, in all nations of good, good governance; they have earned our trust
Specifically, the NCOs that sign contracts, should be specially recognized. They truly place their lives at the feet of the officers appointed above them.
Military service is laudable in any respect, but only Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) sign contracts. Commissioned Officers are afforded a lot more latitude and leeway with their service. They have more responsibilities and subsequent privileges, but also are bound differently to service through an oath and appointment; they are the aristocracy in the organization. They carry a greater burden of responsibility and accountability, accountability that is all too often never adequately allocated.
My Father, Grandfather and Uncles were in the service and gave so much for our country. God Bless our veterans, God Bless America. Long may she wave.
