Ozempic is a life-long med if you want to maintain the loss. It is NOT about losing 10 pounds of fat, but causes the loss of muscle. That is why you end up with a flat butt, face jowls, and saggy skin. What a bizarre trend for weight loss. Stop listening to Hollywood and Big Pharma for beauty advice and people will be a lot healthier.
Blaming fat people for being fat is based on the belief of calories in/calories out. It is false. Studies have shown the body can adapt to a variety of calorie intakes without gaining weight. These kids have metabolic disorders. Yes lazy kids and lazy parents are a problem but not as big of a problem as allopathic medicine. Pediatricians teach parents bad habits from the start with vaccines and low fat diets... then the culture and peds teaches parents their children shouldn’t be upset or experience negative emotions leading to parents caving to every whim (and generally lots of sugar) which leads to even more problems. The problems with pediatricians is very long. Don’t get me wrong parents are ultimately responsible and are failing but they are also getting a lot of help getting it wrong. Plenty of blame belongs there.
These obese children are twice abused. They were allowed to deform and sicken their bodies by overeating and ingesting artificial food. And now they are given a dangerous drug (and unnecessary surgery!) to artificially undo the original damage. How will they ever learn to eat in a healthy way for nutrition and sustenance rather than to feed salt and sugar addictions and for 'entertainment'?
Diet and exercise have mostly failed for the last 60 years since the beginning of the obesity parade. There is something else going on, most likely in the gut microbiome and with the use of big pharma drugs. This exploding use of drugs of all kinds coincides with the rise in obesity.
