The title of this post is a bit misleading because the "vaccines" are not CAUSING the development of variants but rather shifting naturally-occurring mutations within the virus toward "escape"-useful variants through survival of the most successfully adapted. That said, I think we have long since passed a "point of no return" by injecting so many people with genetic material that produced non-neutralizing antibodies. There is a cult called the Voluntary Human Extinction Movement, comprised of geeks. Some members limit their activism to not reproducing personally, which is probably a good thing. I don't see the relevance here of the GVB dictum of never vaccinating during a pandemic. First of all there was never a pandemic. In short, no more deadly than the flu.
