Having worked in one of the largest hospital systems in the world it’s patently obvious to me they function in a top-down dictatorial model that punishes independence. And, like EVERY Marxist institution they sell it as “for the greater good.” Bottom line: Government controls the purse strings that fund virtually all the “science” so the NIH can do the studies, AMA publishes the studies, big pharma makes the drugs, the FDA approves the drugs, meanwhile WHO and CDC study and report outbreaks. All of their protocols trickle down to the Board of Governors that run the hospitals who then decree to their staff to follow them unquestioningly. If anyone deviates from what they’re told they risk losing their medical license or maybe jail time. Granted, some doctors make lousy decisions and need to be reined in. But when they use this logic as the basis to rein them ALL in then they have simply transferred the prospect of malpractice from a local to a much farther reaching national and international level. The fox is guarding the henhouse.
