Precisely what came to my mind as I read this and was about to comment the same as you...I agree wholeheartedly. This needs to be put to an end...and then some. One can't undo it all....only move forward. Heartbreaking.
I did not myself know until there that many American kids get their only food in school, especially Latino and African American kids, poorer kids etc. It angered me how the laptop class had no concern about the implications of their lockdown policies for they could manage very well...the women in society who had to stop work to handle the kids at home as schools were closed, and the children, poorer kids suffered and lost most...lockdowns hurt women more than any other group and children...terribly.
Integrity is choosing the hard course because it is the right course, despite the knowledge that one is almost inevitably not going to prevail in ones endeavour. A clear conscience is priceless.

The schools were well aware of this, which is why they started serving breakfast in schools a long time ago.

Women and children are expendable. Many men, mostly, and (some) women really do believe this. Especially, if they're poor.
We have a few options:
1. Hope RNC will save us (not likely due to RINOs)
2. We get ourselves together and become something meaningful to bring about change.
3. We wait for a savior of sorts to magically manifest; to save us from ourselves.
Yes “they” are the problem. But we are as well; it’s just harder to see when viewed through comparative analysis.
