The meaning of my comment was, we wouldn't need as much of the farming help in the South if Americans weren't too lazy to do the work themselves. Among many Americans of many colors, hard physical labor is felt to be beneath them. The younger they are the lazier they are.
I’ll have to agree with you regarding the younger generation. My generation wasn’t like that. I did hard, physical work for a large portion of my life (ex Teamster) and welcomed it! As a female, that’s where the money was. I was very pretty, but would rather drive a forklift and drive trucks than look like a dumb blond making half the money-lol! I eventually retired as a deputy sheriff after 23 years. And believe me, I did the same as men if not more (to prove myself, I do have pride). We didn’t have the same problems with sex as people do now. It’s ridiculous!

The lab manager yelled at me for wasting an hour fixing it, then thanked me for getting it fixed. 😐🙄 I was the one that was to work 2nd shift, the only person on that shift. I was to work 10 am to 7 pm, that extra hour was NOT a lunch break. Many nights I went home between midnight and 2 am the next morning. --- This was only required of me as according to all the other lab techs they had a college degree (I have 3) and it wasn't their job. I got 2 raises in 6 years (not big ones). --- I feel ya sister!

They DO get benefits, and Health and Welfare is not allowed to ask if they are citizens or not. I live in rural ID, and we have a lot. We also have a substantial segment of agriculture worker migrants. When they leave town after harvests are down, they do not pay their rent, they leave their broken hearted pets. They end up in the pound, which will only keep them 3-4 days before having to execute them (humanely). It really bothers the vets and everyone. They end up putting down ~200 pets every fall. There a couple huge Dutch owned dairies (Thans Mr. Bush for subsidizing the Dutch but nothing for American dairies.) in the area. Many who stay over work there or get jobs at a couple area meat processors. Employers are allowed to accept a generous range of "documentation" without having the federales in their business. There are some who don't take the benefits or get off them ASAP to stay under the radar. It's a major impact on our schools., which also get funding for them, and they get extra deference to the detriment of everyone. The kids catch onto American English pretty quickly after some English as a Foreign Language help. In the larger tons the next county over, there are gangs and cartel problems. The cops just don't get the funding and DEA is underfunded and understaffed. Have met some great people that are assets, and I do want to see them legal.

Too much of that foreign aid goes to NGOs, and the like. They spend a lot of the $$$ in "planning" and scoping, and there are a lot of kickbacks. There is a cost to hosting the people who " do much of the farming and other low wage tasks that Americans will not do." And you are wrong about them not getting benefits. They DO get benefits, and Health and Welfare is not allowed to ask if they are citizens or not. I live in rural ID, and we have a lot. We also have a substantial segment of agriculture worker migrants. When they leave town after harvests are down, they do not pay their rent, they leave their broken hearted pets. They end up in the pound, which will only keep them 3-4 days before having to execute them (humanely). It really bothers the vets and everyone. They end up putting down ~200 pets every fall. There a couple huge Dutch owned dairies (Thans Mr. Bush for subsidizing the Dutch but nothing for American dairies.) in the area. Many who stay over work there or get jobs at a couple area meat processors. Employers are allowed to accept a generous range of "documentation" without having the federales in their business. There are some who don't take the benefits or get off them ASAP to stay under the radar. It's a major impact on our schools., which also get funding for them, and they get extra deference to the detriment of everyone. The kids catch onto American English pretty quickly after some English as a Foreign Language help. In the larger tons the next county over, there are gangs and cartel problems. The cops just don't get the funding and DEA is underfunded and understaffed. Have met some great people that are assets, and I do want to see them legal.

Kellyanne, with her lantern jawed fixed smile for the camera immediately replied-“ The Clintons were enormously involved in helping the Haitians rebuild and restore Haiti after the devastating earthquake. It was an amazing charitable effort and helped so many impoverished Haitian families”. The host replied,” Wow, , I didn’t know that”
Which made three of us because it was public knowledge the Clinton’s were engaged in a corrupt hotel deal with the corrupt government. It never came to fruition, but the Clintons and government grifters profited mightily and the Haitian people were more impoverished, homeless and diseased due to such unsanitary environmental conditions.
