the issues involves some pretty sizeable ( in some instances nuts and bolts ) these huge jet engines from RR and GE are huge and their weight is very high and the stresses on these bolts
every time a plane takes off and lands is very high-I think based opn the the amount of hardwre
already in the system-- our public will never know when they will be on the “ last flight of an airliner-In a normal condition where the bolts are real and not counterfits, there is a useful life
where in many instances the stresses require the inspection ( magnaflux) and or outright replacement ( useful life) - I felt safer in my 4 passenger commanche 180 -- because i put it together myself and knew every bolt and rivet-

( by firing some ot their best QC personnel) after they discovered that the firm hired to put the 3 fuselage pieces together were using “ roughshod an illegal equipment that could render an aircraft to come apart in flight as the cabins become pressurized at flight levels 30, to 43 ( 30,000 to 43,000 feet)--I cannot imagine the horror with a fuselage falling apart at “altitude” with 500 people “pouring out to their deaths--
