TIMELINE of the FDA's 15 year ban on sales of amino acid L-tryptophan:

1988 - Prozac/fluoxetine product launched by Eli Lilly under patent protection.

1989 - amino acid L-tryptophan banned by U.S. Food and Drug Administration (F.D.A.)

2001 - Eli Lilly's patent on Prozac/fluoxetine expires. Sales begin of generic fluoxetine.

2003 - Glaxo's patent on Paxil/paroxetine expires. Sales begin of generic parozetine.

2004 - Forest Labs' patent on Celexa/citalopram expires. Sales begin of generic citalopram.

2005 - F.D.A. lifts its 15-year-long ban on L-tryptophan and it can once again be legally sold as a dietary supplement -- just as it was in 1988 before the arrival of Prozac and its chemical cousins!

Thanks for the history lesson on L-tryptophan. I tried to buy around 2000, but couldn't find it.

The FDA is pulling same corrupt stunt with NMN. Fortunately, NR is available and also raises NAD+ levels. However, NMN seems to have effects beneficial to health.

But, Beta-NMM is available online in place of NMM. The FDA issued a letter against it's sale in June 2023. So it may not be available for long either. Anyone diagnosed with a metabolic disorder should give NAD+ restoration a try.

Chemists have successfully stayed ahead of the law by slightly twerking the chemistry of illegal substances. Time will tell if this strategy works against the machinations of the FDA & Big Pharma.

Fauci & the FDA tried banning the sale of NAC but failedbsnd came off as bullies. In doing so, they alerted the public to it's existence and health benefits.

Big Pharma has tested countless natural substance extracted from earth's flora and fauna, and kept the results to themselves. Many beneficial substances of what they couldn't patent & profit from, they smeared as dangerous and/or useless.

But, China has dedicated an army of scientists to perform the same research, including on all traditional Chinese medicine, and they're publishing the results.

This, along with Pub Med coming online has outed the FDA, NIH, AMA, Big Pharma, Ag, Chemical etc as evil corrupt monsters aligned against the health and well being of mankind for profit, power and control.

Senator Dick Durbin has been trying for at least 12 years to get a bill passed that would require vitamins and supplements to be registered with the FDA. You know what that means: they will eventually take full control over them.

or maybe we'll get lucky if the jab he got was real -- and not just saline solution
