The U.S. isn’t invading anyone with military force for the purpose of conquest. What an odd narrative.
Both Canada and Greenland have natural resources that are desirable, but most all else is a burden (taking on all their existing issues/problems).
The push is to get them to align and collaborate with the U.S. in something more than an adversarial dynamic. If they were “a part of the U.S.”, there would not be the perpetual pissing match to interact and do business. They could even be just territories, like PR, Guam, Samoa, etc.
(Ps, this same kind of discussion was had over Alaska… and yet here we are with Alaska being a wonderful addition)
the narrative is what is out there and I reported what was in print. very interesting you reminded about Alaska and point well taken. you or I do not want this to go south, we want none of it, just it be resolved a win win. both sides.
Of course the US is going to take, or attempt to take, Canada by military force. I have said this from the beginning. To try to transition a constitutional monarchy to part of another country with a Republican system of government through legal means would take decades. The US will manufacture a border dispute and will talk about Americans being mistreated. It will be essentially the same playbook Hitler used.
The Canadians, because they have far higher mean IQ, as replicated repeatedly in multiple studies, as well as greater life expectancy and lower rates of violent crime etc will resist. Why would they want ill health, more crime or to be part of a dumner population? Collaborators with the Americans would be treated in the same manner that the French and Dutch resistance treated their own people who collaborated with the Nazis. Given that the US has suffered repeated military defeats at the hands of peasants and goatherders since WW2, and given that Canada has defeated US invasions before, history will most likely repeat itself and the attempt will fail.
Ex military here. Spent 23 yrs reg force. In its current state, Canada won’t last a day if the US uses its military to invade Canada. We have a total of 40 combat pilots with experience and less operational fighter jets. We have no drone tech and no small arms as we sent them to Ukraine (only to be sold on the black market). Plus a lot of us fought beside members of the US military so we’re not about to pick up arms against our brothers. Plus Trudope just banned another 178 guns… so if you really think Canadians could defend themselves against any adversary your mistaken.
The US wouldn't need to use military force, their massive economic influence on Canada is more than enough to do the job. But if a military incursion were the case, Canada woudl be conquered before anyone in NATO ever laced up their boots.
The U.S. does not need military force to get what they want from us. I suspect Liberal Carney government will fold in record time and give Trump what he wants because it also serves the Liberal WEF plan of one world government. One country at a time will be taken over economically in the West and achieve the WEF / Globalist aims. The only hope of stopping it may be the BRICS alliance.
No poke at you or for posting was intended… just at the narrative (which is spun to exasperate (and prevent) discussion and true consideration of the proposition).
The idea and discussion should be quite civil, and if reasonable requirements met, a win-win for everyone! (there is so much to gain from it)
Although, the crown won’t like losing one of their entities.

Has Canada defeated a U.S. invasion before?
when was that done on the Roxham Road, it didn't look like they stopped that invasion.
Canada didn't become a country until 1982.

No more than they liked losing us either.
And there it is, “The narrative”. Same with Russia Collusion and the J6 “insurrection”.
