There is open season on hunting Desantis is bu doubling down increasing funding to 3 million $. Python hunts give trophy money based on the size. The Everglades I’d 130,000 acres and they believe there are 100,000 + of these dangerous pests . Hundreds got loose when a snake facility was destroyed in hurricane Andrew years ago.
Does Florida allow OPEN or CONCEALED CARRY? I sure won't go there without a gun in hand, all those gators? I don't care two hoots whether or not they are a "protected species" , If one comes at me it's going down.
Maybe I should just open carry a cast iron frying pan instead. Perfectly legal. I saw a YouTube video where an Australian man bonked a charging crocodile hard on the nose, and the croc turned tail and ran off.
Not exactly the sort of restful, benign, mellow activity that one looks forward to and anticipates when going on vacation. Maybe I will just avoid Florida until they get their wildlife issues under control
Oh well...at least the Komodo Dragon has not YET arrived on its shore as either an "invasive" or "protected" Specie, both of which apparently can be deadly......
Florida is now a Constitutional Carry state but does not allow open carry. This entire thing is extremely retarded. No one gets eaten by snakes or gators here. I’ve lived here for over 2 decades and 0 people have been eaten by a Python near me. One crack head got eaten by a gator maybe 20 years ago when he fell asleep by a gator infested lake. So...as long as you’re not a crack head sleeping by a gator infested lake you’re good. I guess one kid got eaten by a gator at Disney maybe 10 years ago - whatever.
Way more people have been mauled and killed by pit bulls than gators, snakes or sharks. Where is the fear porn over pit bulls?
Lots of fear of pit bulls. A former co worker took her friends pit bull while they were moving for a week a few years ago. Her son came home from school and went out to see the dog. He was attacked by the dog and died. There are many more stories of those types of attacks than gators ect.
With sharks (see YouTube video at the link), gators and crocs, many who have been attacked by them in the water and who have fought back have survived. Try to deliver a powerful blow or blows right between the eyes and if that's not possible strike them hard anywhere and get the hell away. Best not to letthem get close in the first place. In theYouTube video Australian surfer Mick Fanning was attacked by a Great White in South African waters and got away after punching and kicking it in the sides.
Wow. I feel so much better now! Lol. Yes indeed, very reassured! It kinda look like he had his surfboard somewhat in between him and the shark as well. Thanks for sending. I heard that sharks have very rough skin that can give you an abrasion if you aren't careful, but I can't vouch for that, I haven't been in close, touching proximity to one....
Very glad the lad got away unscathed. His mother must have been traumatized watching the shark closing in......
20 years ago a female surfing champ, Bethany Hamilton, lost her left arm to a shark. After it healed, she went back to surfing and competing. She's still doing it.
You're right. Without fighting back and praying, you will be defeated. Thanks for sending
Disturbing! They are spreading westward along the Gulf as I understand it, all the way to Texas some reports say. This started when some folks bought them for pets, & when they got too big, they were dumped in the swamps. There they thrived.
They escaped from a python breeding facility in Homestead Florida, it was destroyed during Hurricane Andrew in August 1992. Homestead is a gateway to the Everglades.
Florida has a Python hunting season in the everglades which helps curtail their population somewhat but more needs to be done to eradicate them since they don’t have any natural predators.
They need to offer a bounty on each one brought in.
No bag limit.
Python fajitas and stir fry. Snakeskin boots and belts. Serpent taxidermy. Entrepreneurial imagination.
I just can't get over the mechanics of how these serpents can open their mouths wide enough to swallow an adult human. I recall reading someplace that some of the really big ones in other parts of the world have been known to attack, kill and swallow a WATER BUFFALO.
They do have a bounty on them and during the python hunts there is prize money in the $1,000’s per the weight and length of the python. But bonuses pay out on an ongoing basis. Trust me, the python hunting and harvesting of snake skins to produce goods is a booming business.
Rather than kill the pythons, train them to only attack Leftists. Sure, i realize Leftists are less nutritious, and likely full of toxins, but the snakes get to survive...
Whats your point? Good to be warned of incipient danger
It would be unfortunate indeed to have avoided the quackzines only to wind up having a python put the squeeze on you or letting a gator do a death roll with you. All are to be avoided at all costs along with being the main course in the sharks' feeding frenzy
They are invasive, obviously. Before killing them all feed Biden to one of them. Maybe Hunter, too, but take into account that the snake will get high. Is that good or bad? Thereafter, these beautiful creatures belong in a zoo or back where they came from.
If you receive an email that offers a time share condo in the Pantanal, do some homework before accepting.
I saw a documentary that recorded an adorable Capybara eaten by a Caymen eaten by a Python, all in short order. You read that right! The snake ate THAT Caymen that had JUST swallowed the Capybara. C’mon guys! You can’t do that!
This is an offense to my conception of the food chain. There’s just no respect for evolution.
Now that's just crazy. Reminds me of that old childhood song "I KNEW AN OLD LADY THAT SWALLOWED A FLY" , or perhaps one of those Russian toy nesting dolls which, when you open it up, has another one inside it, and you open that one up and there's another, on and on, no end in sight!
Open up the python to find an intact cayman, open up the cayman to find an undigested Capybara. Lol. The possibilities are endless!
Jonah turned out not to be the free agent he thought he was, in his headlong flight from God. Nothing like being helplessly swallowed by something considerably larger than yourself and living to tell about it to make you aware of who's your Creator, Sustainer and Deliverer......
They will eat anything they can get, do not be fooled. They are a serpent. I have quail, and even large snakes I have watched shoot themselves into the tiniest wire I can get before its bug screen, this is tough very stout 1/4-1/2" wire cloth so baby quail can not wander, chicken wire but better. I watched a snake that I thought had been going under somehow leap when I chased it, and it went straight through the small squares of the cage without a hesitation or damage to the cage or itself. Its head is quite large otherwise and body was about 5+ft, they are very agile and able to sneak in easily. Do not underestimate the snakes or gators. Sure we don't have many deaths that way for the sane locals, but a tourists child at disney, yes. A senile woman walking her dog, yes. It does happen if one is unaware or off guard. And let us not forget we are warned in Revelation the wild animals would start to devour.
Stop with the fear porn. This is such a nothing burger, why are you even yammering on about it?
Go back 10 years, just for Florida, and see how many people were eaten or maimed by pythons, gators and sharks combined. It’s probably single digits excluding actual python hunters. Now compare that to the number of people who have been maimed or killed by pit bulls. Hint, pit bulls are WAY MORE dangerous.
Maybe start writing about that instead of the retarded muh snakes garbage.
Well, what about gators and sharks? I saw this YouTube video of a young guy approaching a gator in his driveway with a rolling trash can with an attached lid. He lowered it on its side and opened it up in front of the gator. He shooed the gator in and wheeled it down to the nearby creek. I guess both the guy and the gator were used to the drill, apparently. This happened in Florida, of course. Is this a common occurrence?
Calling Ron DeSantis! A problem back home needs your attention.

Sorry about the typos, I had an injury to my hand & tendonitis 🫤
Ouch! Speedy recovery.

To be followed by the Loch Ness monster--and then the serpent which swalllowed Laocoon and his boys

The world has lost its compass
The pythons serve no moral nor spiritual nor domicile benefit!

Need a new wallet? Purse? Boots? Snakeskin converse high tops?
Rather than kill the pythons, train them to only attack Leftists. Sure, i realize Leftists are less nutritious, and likely full of toxins, but the snakes get to survive...
Maybe it's 2 birds, 1 stone?
How many people killed by pythons and tigers? A couple hundred. How many killed by vaccines and lockdowns? A couple million. Stay focused Dr.

NOBODY GETS KILLED BY PYTHONS IN FLORIDA. This entire thing is completely retarded. I don’t know why Paul is doing this. Maybe he’s drunk.
Pythons have always swallowed their prey whole, lacking teeth to chew them.
They are invasive, obviously. Before killing them all feed Biden to one of them. Maybe Hunter, too, but take into account that the snake will get high. Is that good or bad? Thereafter, these beautiful creatures belong in a zoo or back where they came from.

Large or venomous snakes are evil. They can hurt or kill humans.
They must be eliminated. You can't turn it into a pet, you must kill it.
Poison is just poison, it can't ever be anything else but poison.
better put a bounty on them, including the eggs.
any time, any where....
Python omelet at your local diner?

looks like there were baby snakes in with the body. creepy
