Hospice is very important for end of life care. I took off 6 weeks to go home and take care of my mother who was dying from colon cancer and she was finished with their "nonsense of a cure". I was able to get many items that we needed through hospice including pain relievers and how to administer them, a hospital bed that was helpful for my mother to be able to rearrange for comfort. I could call them at any hour to get needed items or advice and they would come over to check on us weekly or more if needed. I was there till her last breath. It was an amazing experience. I know that we will meet again someday for a grand reunion.
