The policy was set with an objective that was never truly revealed. That is when I came to the conclusion that the military, the navy in particular, decided to abandon their core value of Honor. It was all down-hill from there.
You don't have to be a medical professional to make this decision. You don't even need medical insight, just math, sound decision making practices, and a little bit of critical thinking (systemic doubt of assumptions and constant validation of accepted facts). These are supposed to be military leadership core skill-sets, yet I witnessed lock-step compliance and obedience to orders from what appeared to be disinterested flag officers.
