So glad you are highlighting the connection. Many throw the term Marxism around not understanding we are living the hell created by neo-Marxism and the call for the overthrow of the cultural institutions. James Lindsay's discourse series does a great discussion of him and Herbert Marcuse. They are long because he is serious about the discussion.

Let's not forget that Marx supported the Republican Party. He was a RINO, not unlike many of today's Republicans.

"Was Abraham Lincoln influenced by communism when the Union condemned the rights of Southern states to express their independence? It's shocking to think so. But that's precisely what Walter D. Kennedy and Al Benson Jr. assert in Red Republicans and Lincoln's Marxists. The pair completely reassess this tumultuous time in American history, exposing the "politically correct" view of the War for Southern Independence as nothing less than the same observation announced by Marx himself. During the American Civil War, Marx wrote about his support of the Union Army, the Republican Party, and Lincoln himself. In fact, he named the president as "the single-minded son of the working class."In addition to shedding light on this little-known part of our history, Kennedy and Benson also ask pertinent questions about the validity of today's federal government and why its role seems so much larger than the liberty found in the states it represents. Red Republicans and Lincoln's Marxists is a bold undertaking, but it's one that needs our immediate and absolute attention."

This sounds like an interesting premise.

After a semester-long course in college on the "Historiography the Civil War," it was evident to me that the fairy tale about the high-minded Northern abolitionists versus the Southern slave holders was a myth disguising deep-seated economic rivalries unrelated to 'social justice' concerns (if I may apply a modern term here).

I agree James Lindsay has a depth of understanding of this matter that few others possess.

If you haven't seen his speech in the EU it is well worth watching:

I did. Has he ever spoken to Congress? I don't think so but it is hard to keep up. He also did a review of Paulo Freire's impact on our educational system. As always, his analysis was spot on. CRT was already creeping into education 12 years ago. I didn't know what to make of these sound-good but creepy feeling exercises in my kid's grade school classes. As James says, it is to mystify you. You know something is wrong but can't quite figure out what it is.

I am not aware of him ever speaking to Congress. I don't suppose they would want to hear what he has to say. I have come across his review of Paulo Freire's impact on our education. I am in the UK but as you can guess we are on exactly the same path. Here is a letter I wrote to my MP

What a letter. And, shockingly, your educational system seems even worse than many in the US. When my kid was in grade school his gifted 3rd/4th grade class were instructed to write about being a black slave transported on a ship and arriving in the US. Because the kids were gifted, the essays were profound. I knew something was wrong but couldn't place my finger on it. Slavery is wrong so teaching young children this historical truth couldn't be wrong, right? Looking back, I realized I was being mystified. You are afraid to protest lest you be a big bigot which is the intent. Now I know how to fight back a bit better. With respect to slavery, why not have children pretend they are in a concentration camp? How about a five-year-old white boy sent to coal mines to provide for families? Why not a white girl to a factory or to a brothel? I taught my brother the process. He told a friend, who is Black, that our grandfather was more likely to have died earlier than his. The guy, of course, was astonished but my brother correctly pointed out that in our area the Irish were the only ones desperate or dumb enough to do dangerous pipefitting work. This prompted my friend of Sicilian descent to chime in that the Sicilians were the only ones desperate enough or dumb enough to mount scaffolding way up in the sky. The game can be endless. Perhaps a drinking game is in order.

I agree but there is no reason to it as it is an agenda.

Thanks for sending the link. I used to listen to Larry Elder's show. What happened to him when he ran for governor was so awful and racist.

TBH, Marxism & socialism in the US is the only reason the Vax mandated were enforced. And why the Plandemic was successful.

The goal of Marxism is communism. A communist State is all. Omnipotent.

Individuals have no rights. Just ask a Uighur.

Communists regimes were responsible for 100 million human deaths in the 20th century.

Should all the deaths from the Vax be added to that toll?
