Just like in Canada, we the taxpayers pay, we pay for their greed and corruption. McCarthy is NOT on the right, he's a fraud who will do anything to enrich himself, he doesn't give a shit about the people of America. This debt will take decades upon decades to pay off, how can we have such demons in power, this has to end.

Now watch as the Federal Reserve will fire up the money printers and flood the market with cheap dollars, quantitative easing, etc. The rich will get richer, middle income earners will join the poor as hyperinflation takes over.

You are right. Clif High said hyperinflation coming.

There is no 'other side' in mainstream American politics. Two sides of the same coin designed to make the public feel they are making a choice. But the only choice is a superficial one such wearing a red scarf or a blue one today. No difference of any consequence. Social issues are a diversion from all meaningful issues. Who you sleep with or how you dress hasn't a thing to do with the economy, corporate monopoly control of it all, or the WHO one world treaty designed to destroy anything vaguely left of democratic principles , or the massive budgets for the military and the ongoing wars against people of color who have the temerity to live on resource rich lands and want to have some control over what is theirs. But if the people can be dragged into a fight over gender identities they are not paying attention to how their lives are being affected by corporate greed that creates increased inflation because their stockholders want a greater margin of profit that will pay them for doing nothing. So this debt crises was also manufactured and the parties played their roles well with the rich gaining and the mass of people held at bay.

Dr Paul - you are right - they are “beasts” ravaging us, our country & are immoral & ungodly (imo)

71 stood firm. GOD KNOWS!

Biden & McCarthy & all these thieves will be weighed in the balance at the great Judgement Day & found wanting. May you & I be found right in the sight of God. They have forgotten God. Pity them.

As many of us suspected. Shame upon all of them!

we knew in our hearts this would happen. they always wait til the last min. to make a deal. this way they can say we had no choice otherwise we would default. i wish they would have defaulted. we cannot let them get away with this shit. we need to shut down unneeded programs so that would prob. save a lot and how much goes overseas all the time?

Exactly right, Barbara.

The two major political parties constitute a bipartisan dictatorship that is anchored by a shared guaranteed ballot access arrangement where both function as a controlled opposition for each other while preventing third parties from getting on the ballot to compete with both of them.

If people who love America (and love God) want to fix things they need to do the following:

1) Take over the Republican Party

2) Win elections.

There's little McCarthy could do at this point. (I agree we have a 2-party system that is the equivalent of Haarlem Globetrotters and Washington General, with fake competition. Nevertheless, the current structure of our legal system stacks the deck too strongly in favor of the two top parties.)

Expand full comment

Watching the Harlem Globetrotters was fun & for sport - this is NOT fun, nor in good sportsmanship. These wicked leaders are immoral & beasts, as Dr Paul states.

Expand full comment

Sure, every analogy has its limitations. E.g. are we besmirching beasts by calling immoral politicians beasts? 😉

Expand full comment

You know exactly what I meant by not agreeing with your analogy to a fun team (the Harlem Globetrotters) that played BB for entertainment & did not harm the work & welfare of taxpaying citizens. Find another analogy.

These monstrous BEASTS (whom GOD refers to in scripture as beasts) in our American govt are BEASTS that ravage the poor & kill the innocent. I HAVE NOT THROWN IN MY LOT WITH THEM BY THE GRACE OF GOD.

Expand full comment

While I was a huge fan of the Haarlem Globetrotters as a kid, have an exclusively positive impression of them, loathe the current Democratic party, am unaware of any Democrats in Congress who don't fit your description of them, disrespect the Republican party, and think few of them don't fit your description of them, my point was about the _fake_ competition.

Would you prefer an analogy to World Wrestling Entertainment?

McCarthy betrayed us. He was okay for a while, but when push came to shove, a leopard can't change its spots. He folded like a cheap suit. You and others who warned us about McCarthy were correct.

I'm waiting for Matt Gaetz to call for a Motion to Vacate--get rid of McCarthy as House Leader.

There were more than 50 GOP votes against the bill, which Matt said would trigger that recall.

Expand full comment

I agree, Ed. I'd also Ike to see Matt Gaetz and others (MTG, Boebert) take action against Speaker McCarthy.

Expand full comment

MTG supported the bill, because she supported McCarthy. We'll have to see what she does.

Steve Bannon supports a Motion to Vacate but at the moment when it will cause the most damage to McCarthy.

Unfortunately most of the politicians in both houses of Congress are still grifters, RINOs and Dems on the gravy train, supporting the whims of their wealthy donors--who didn't want to see an election campaign discussion of "tax the wealthy" next year. So they crafted a budget deal that ends two years from now, not one. With no caps on spending.

Expand full comment

Thanks for filling me in on MTG's vote. I wonder what her reasoning was (since she's one of the few with the courage and ability to stand up and fight). Good anyalsis, too.

The two provisions you addressed in your last sentence are very problematic.

I'd like to add that the Dem fight against welfare work requirements and the resulting weak "compromise" was a big disappointment.

Convention of States?

Expand full comment

Toni, I was thinking, we would be men, and use what created this nation, and all great nations. War.

Expand full comment

That might be necessary as a very last resort. My heart breaks for the lives that would be lost.

Having a Convention of States is a last ditch loophole provided by our founding fathers to thwart an authoritarian regime such as we are seeing now. The lives already lost by many thousands of unsuspecting citizens is unconscionable, unfathomable, and most definitely deserves response and accountability.

I appreciate and admire your bravery and willingness to take action. I fear that you are an exception in our current society.

Expand full comment

Agreed, and I am aware of the "fail-safe." However, what of the similar corruption at the state levels?

Alas, we have a worldwide, tyrannical and democidal cabal that had to do some work, but has complete control of this once great, and mostly free nation. And, while I am aware that Conventions of States and war may indeed be the ultimate destabilization/chaos mechanism that upends us completely, desperate times call for desperate measures.

I do have things I fear. Living as a slave. Passivity. Weakness. And, yes, what a lot of weaklings many of us have been morphed in to. We do see some glimmers of bravery though. Despite the chemical and psychological battering our people have endured, humanity always seeks truth, integrity and real fairness. Nature hates weakness, and always reverts to the mean.
