I am instantly reminded of Luke 17:2 where my Lord Jesus Christ states it would be better to have a millstone hung about your neck and be cast into the sea than to offend one of these little ones. Our Lord Jesus does not tell us just what the punishment will actually be, but only to tell us a painful drowning would be the better outcome. This indicates to me that just maybe the punishment that will actually be dispensed is too horrendous for words to explain. Perfect justice from a loving God. I believe that Dr. Alexander comprehends the gravity of this desperate situation and I have no problem with his passion.

I don’t care for this level of “emotionality” in a Substack essay. The argument is not fully constructed, poorly presented, and yet calling for the death penalty. WARNING- - we don’t want to become like the corporations that don’t value life. The message in this Substack is not about protecting children (although we need to like never before) it’s about “getting out the torches and pitchforks and going after ‘em!” Very dangerous, as who will be the judge, jury, executioner? A mob. It will be easy to lose our moral bearing in the tough time ahead. The author of this Substack provides useful info often, but this one is a cry for vigilante Justice that’s not acceptable. He needs to rethink his position.
In response to Chad brown and Dr. Alexander: in cases of sexually abusing a child there MAY be room for leniency ONCE. Beyond that one second chance they should not be treated as criminals but as vermin and you don't punish vermin.
I think there is something to be said for cultures that promise harsh punishment for hideous acts. I imagine the acts are rarely committed because the punishment is so profound. If pedophiles or rapists knew they would suffer considerable pain or even death, would they still engage in the abuse of a child or woman? In some societies, chewing gum is punishable with corporal punishment (lashes) and even prison time. Perhaps it is a societal conversation that needs to be had. This being said, how does one become a predator to begin with? SRA and research on those imprisoned for crimes of a sexual nature usually reveal that the perpetrator was once a victim too. Isn't it interesting that some scientists can devote their professional lives to making biological weapons to cull the human family, but apparently cannot cure the neuro-chemical processes that unleash one's desire to sexually harm a child?

From personal experience, I have been fingered for sex crimes against a female when later, after my Trial, that so called victim said, in written, signed documents, those sex crimes never occurred - however, this Law has a DCJ Ruling that 3rd Party Evidence cannot be used to overturn a conviction, where my accuser was the first party, the Govt Department was the second party and I was the 3rd Party - the reason I was targeted was because she wanted to buy herself a home without paying a mortgage and the Compensation payout she received paid for that home totally - the Deeds which she signed in her married name, married at my Trial, though sworn single, unable to have that relationship amounted, with false admitted accusations, to 100% Perjury - but - the Law decides what is allowable and what the Public should be allowed to see and hear, not the individual punished, so I served 6 years in prison, for a person who did not legally exist (her Maiden name - i was a Step Parent) and for accusations she later admitted did not occur (during my prison sentence) - this is commonplace in our society now and all it takes is an accomplished liar, which she was, to pull it off - she died, according to Social Media in 2012 - was it worth it - you tell me?
It is easy to be righteous and point the finger at others who, often through no fault of their own, find themselves at the wrong end of the Law, where the Law is all powerful with unlimited funding, a huge prison system and the employment of thousands of people who ultimately deliver the punishments set by the Courts, where you are but one person with none of those resources, or finances and no way to prove or disprove a thing which was supposed to have occurred years before, between two people when there were no witnesses and she was supposed to have been in school at that time - but time is not part of the accusation, "between this year and that year this or that was done to me".
Had such an event occurred, then the person who made the later claim to the police could have done so at, or soon after, or at any time afterwards, prior to, when there was a large cash payment to be earned for doing so - thus, as long as there is a large cash incentive to dob in ex parents or anyone else for a large money refund - "crimes" such as these, will continue to occur in the Western World.
However, the Muslim's de-sex their female children at 9/10 years of age, they sew up their girl children's vagina with holes left for piss and blood release (if period) and marry them off to older men for underage "legal" sex and children (their "new" husband cuts the string and thus he knows his child bride is a virgin and he is the first to penetrate her) - Muslim's can have up to 4 wives at any one time (all 9/10 year old up) all protected by Sharia Laws (I divorce thee, I divorce thee, I divorce thee 3 Times - and that is all it takes for a man to divorce a wife and marry another 9/10 year old) and multiple other "10 years old wives", if their fortunes allow it - often the "wives" bear children before their young bodies are ready to do so and that is "Legal" in their society and presumably ours, if they are not caught doing it - which you agree with, given your point of view - it is "legal" after all.
