In my world, any one who rapes or abuses a child, must be rapidly sentenced to death! Once it is proven in a court, they must be put to death! Including priests of all religions, not just Christianity

I am instantly reminded of Luke 17:2 where my Lord Jesus Christ states it would be better to have a millstone hung about your neck and be cast into the sea than to offend one of these little ones. Our Lord Jesus does not tell us just what the punishment will actually be, but only to tell us a painful drowning would be the better outcome. This indicates to me that just maybe the punishment that will actually be dispensed is too horrendous for words to explain. Perfect justice from a loving God. I believe that Dr. Alexander comprehends the gravity of this desperate situation and I have no problem with his passion.
I have to disagree with the headline. Abuse of a child covers a lot of things. Not all of them are reprehensible enough for a death penalty.
