Why that expectation? It's a logical deduction based on recorded history.
As a specific example, Trump chanted "lock her up" and "drain the swamp" thousands of times during his campaigning for 2016. Millions including myself voted for Trump primarily to see that happen. When it came time for Trump to deliver, we got NOTHING, ZILCH, NADA, GOOSE EGG. There you have it.

While he can own the mistakes from the beginning of the pandemic when the experts claimed we didn’t know enough about the virus to have fought it any differently, the question to ask is why nearly 4 years later when we have irrefutable evidence that the vaccines are not only ineffective but also damaging, do the Biden/Harris administration still push it? Trump was willing to listen to other voices and try the therapeutics available to help the public but he was lambasted and mocked. If he can say that he wrongfully trusted the faulty science of the pharmaceutical companies and the politicians that take their marching orders from them, he may be able to receive some forgiveness from those who criticize him. Trump did nothing really different from other nations so I really don’t know why people act like he flew to China and brought the virus over himself.
