Last time in Nairobi 2019, I was amazed how people were smiling at the street. Poor but immensely happy. What the heck happened to the developed countries! they've become underdeveloped in social capital: family, friends, community, religion and happiness.

Japanese culture, due to high population density, has a very strict code of public conduct, to keep civility amongst themselves. Much of the ritual courtesies practiced are enhanced by facial expressions. I suspect this mask-wearing has been very hard on them.

I have a sad story of young healthy woman, wife and mom, who was a BC TRANSIT bus driver for eleven years. She was harassed constantly and then FIRED because she refused the jab.
Eleven days later she committed suicide leaving family decimated for life.
A lot of libs in this country need those lessons since so many have no sense of humor anymore. Even conservatives living in Blue states I’ve noticed have also been beaten up so badly that they,too, take a while to recognize humor.
I hear another problem is that a lot of the female mask wearers liked not have to apply makeup during the pandemic...and still want to continue masking for that reason.
