This obesity thing really creeped in. Growing up and through young adulthood obesity was almost never seen. And when one did see an obese person it was almost freakish looking. Today it is all you see! I still eat like I did growing up - whole foods, sugar as a rare treat ( dessert worth the splurge), water when thirsty, eat at normal meal times... at 54 no meds and still the same dress size. It is not rocket science.. everyone I know with the same normal eating habits is the same.
Sadly, there is no compassion left in society; only misery, greed and willfulness - especially on the bulletin board aka "substack" - where the greater good fake gig is peddled and put on a pedestal made of illusory rainbows.

at is the body being hungry whilst the plate in front of them is full-up but nutrient free and full of additives, colourings, E numbers, pheic sugar to mess with your pancreas, I can go on, however what it does is make it difficult for the human body to process stuff so it stores, Americans were not fat before 1950, so it's easy ditch ALL industrialized foods, go local, cook from scratch, dance, sing, paint, write, let it out so to speak, and then may the 'chips/fat' fall where it may and if it stays so be it. The whole fat-thin paradign, notice how 'normal' is never in there, is just for the sake of profit and the divide and rule game. Start at home with being kind to yourself, charity starts at home nowhere else avoid the naysayers, yes fat vs thin has never been clear but common sense goes a long way if you carry two bodies around instead of one that might be an issue for the organs, bones,etc, cheers!
You don’t have to “eat less” necessarily. Just do NOT eat CARBS! Any carbohydrate will increase your insulin. Insulin also causes far storage. Eliminate carbs (as much as possible), decrease circulating insulin, decreases fat storage. There are no essential carbs. There are essential fatty acids and essential amino acids, so eat protein and good fat. No seed oils either. In the beginning of 2021 I did this and lost 40lbs in 5 months. This also stopped all my cravings for sweets (I am an addict 🙋🏻♀️). I feel satiated with the healthy meat and fats I eat. Look up keto and carnivore diets. They want us to eat bugs and not meat. This means meat is good for us! Anything the government suggests, turn 180o and do the opposite. Eliminate processed food (including packaged keto foods. They are crap). 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Weight management is like fly fishing or bow hunting, simple but not easy.
Calories in/calories out doesn’t cut it because as complex biologic entities, we can freewheel (release those calories as heat) or we can absorb them and they stick as stored fat. This is due primarily to 4 hormones, with insulin being the prime driver.
The shortcut answer is intermittent fasting and eating meat, mostly (keto)which is what we did pre-agricultural times.
Our physiology has NOT changed.
If it comes in a box or had a bar code, it’s not food.
I have severe chronic pain and thanks to no one doing anything about the government letting big pharma put out fraudulent pain meds I'm now losing everything because I have no pain relief anymore. Have been successful on low dose medication for 12 years now I'm losing my home and everything else because I cannot hardly move anymore and not work hardly at all. I'm going to be on the street soon thanks to no one being outraged and finding an attorney to sue these pieces of s***. Thanks a lot everyone who's cowards. Anyway I can't even afford to eat is why I was posting here anyway. Some of us cannot afford to eat at all that's that's why I've lost 50 lb in the last year. Let alone eat healthy lol My dinners consist of a box of tuna and crackers and that's on a good day now I'm out of that even

Try for understanding, maybe even caring.
I know some get to despair. How much experience have you had with despair?
By all means caution people but cut the judgemental, quick fixes.
I'd need to know their life history.
Make very sure these protocols are unsafe. One doctor doesn't cut it: science shows data, results.

Exactly which weight loss method DOES NOT have the bounce back ?
They ALL do.
To me this sounds like BIG PHARMA running a scare campaign against something that will severely hurt their profits.
Ok - sales of one product goes up.
But they lose on EVERYTHING else. People who lose weight toss their heart medication, diabetes medication, blood pressure medication etc etc etc.
Big Pharma has ALOT to lose from this, as does the weight loss industry.
