Assume every body of water has one, large or small and do not swim in them - if you boat in them, in a kayak be prepared for possible attacks. Oh, and they move damned fast like a charging hippo or rhino. Don't bring your small dog at night by the retention pond for gwads sake. Otherwise, live and let live. Swimming should be done in a pool with a cage. Snakes? Yeah, find a python, shoot it or bag it and let the experts kill it. Mostly the snakes won't kill you. Cottonmouths and Rattlers do exist.. so be on the look out for them. Mosquitos - now take black seed oil and put eucalyptus or lemon grass oil and put on. Helps repel them. Black seed oil is somewhat anti malarial, so is Ivermectin. Get yourself some if worried and ingest preventatively.
Thanks Unagnu I cannot imagine building your home in the middle of the habitat of such creatures. In Australia the outback is full of Life better left where they choose to be in the Outback. I think that is smart and saves so much suffering for those life forms who are naturally given deadly Super Powers and humans who think they are super powerful but in reality are super vulnerable.
