This is IMO a BS type article, typical of LANCET now and each time Sachs grows in respect he goes out and pens garbage like this. Sachs followed up his interview with Bobby Kennedy Jr. with this?
This just echoes the WEF agenda as articulated by Klaus Schwab muse Yuval Noah Harari:

And then the commercial break… Phizer vaccines, BlackRock , Covid vaccination “ new” boosters public service update courtesy of your trusted pal, NIH , CDC. gov
1)Fauci, Baric, Daszak, and Moderna we’re doing things with viruses that they were not supposed to do (GoF)
2)They farmed some of it out to China, who were probably doing some bad things too....building on US work and adding some of their own.
3)someone f’ed up and a lab engineered virus got into the general population.
4)everyone involved simultaneously pooped themselves and went into coverup mode.
5)Fauci and Birx lied to, and scared the shit out of Trump.
6)The rest of the western world followed the lead of the CDC and they essentially changed the subject from ‘Where the hell did that come from’ to ‘Oh shit, we’re all going to die if we don’t do this, this, and this’
7)Moderna ( and Fauci et al) put forth a half assed ‘vaccine’ that was part of the (gone wrong) original program. It had not been really tested, but it was all they had....or were likely to have anytime soon.
8) The US government pays out gobs of money to press outlets to push these ‘vaccines’.
9) They start forcing people to take them ( mandates).
10) Supreme Court says “ no, you can’t do that.... except health care workers.
11) The ‘vaccinated’ start getting sick.......the coverup starts to fall apart.
12) Now we get the slow roll where bad news dribbles out about the vaccines.....eventually we will start hearing things like:
-well, we already said that the vaccines could be dangerous
-we said that they could make people sick
-we never said that the vaccines were totally safe
Most of what I have written above is in publicly available documents. There is also a video of Fauci and others discussing the need for a universal flu vaccine. I see it as a smoking gun as to the origins of this whole mess.

One thing that's often overlooked is that this whole insanity started in Italy: They were the first country in the so-called Western world to impose a China-style lockup (I still don't call it lockdown because it was really a lockup). Spain followed a few days later, then the US and almost all other countries. So the US was the third domino to fall, maybe they could have made a stand and stopped this lunacy in it's tracks, but they didn't.
7. Not only was that so-called vaccine not properly tested, they must have known it could probably fail because all previous attempts to create a coronavirus vaxxiine had failed. But they decided to do it anyway, maybe they thought, well it might work more or less, and if it doesn't, that virus will eventually go away somehow.??
Touche’. Thing is,that region of Italy is largely an elderly population , most of whom are heavy smokers with co-morbidities , were in the midst of flu season and likely died of flu complications and being locked down.
None of these stupid agencies are worth a plug cyber nickel. If a real emergency evolved with real toxic thingys they wouldn't know what to do. If there was a real threat, it would move around the globe so fast it would make the WHO's and CDC's heads spin out of control.
They have no proven, trusted or accurate plan of action as we have seen during the fake pandemic, it was all guesswork that destroyed millions of lives one way or another. There have been dozens of fake pandemics and still these bums are clueless.
From what I read between the lines, they expect a more efficient quick and efficient response. That spells drastic such as in the Shangai lockdown (??). The documents says the vaccination Campaign was not fast and effective enough too, as it is the only necessary way out of a "crisis". I can't believe this is what awaits us: dictatorship intervention, and fast!
There is an exceptional podcast with Majid Nawaz hosting ex- Pfizer head of viral/immunology research, Michael Yeadon. Well worth watching.
It is so refreshing when the guest is allowed to speak , uninterrupted. I wanted to stuff a sock in Alex Jones during your interview. He’s worse than Hannity. Dr. Alexander, you were wonderful.The patience of a Saint. Perhaps you should contact Neal Oliver, Russell Brand, Kim Iversen, Glenn Beck , Dave Rubin…I loved your speaking event with Naomi Wolff, Drs Risch and Kory. All wonderful, kind, brilliant experts with such tenacity and integrity. Epoch Times , Dark Horse are excellent venues.

Dr Mikovitz noted: they were amongst the population (elderly) who have been the most flu vaxxed along with their health care workers.

The publicly available documents show that DARPA actually thought the project was to dangerous and denied funding for it.
I have read that Fauci then approved the money for the same GoF project.
