The nursing homes in the Province of Quebec were killing factories. The medical system in Quebec is failing miserably while Emergencies are crushing. My teen grand-daughter just spent a month in the most prestigious new, high tech hospital for children in Montreal as pediatricians had reached the end of their options. My daughter had to ask for a second opinion from the other kid's hospital. After a day they had a diagnosis. The actual doctor who discovered the cause was from France. Not from our Canadian universities. There is no way a bunch of professionnals could NOT see she had a bad case of POTS. The data was in her file, but was ignored. It is a proof that a medical religion exists here. They could only see gastro symptoms and were strickly looking in that direction. Gone is their judgement. The staff and doctors change every week so the follow-ups are weak. Supposingly this staff migration allows all residents and students to "study" an array of cases, but they can't form much bonding with the patients.
