I agree with Dr Alexander. The republicans are complicit. They’ve been complicit for years. The whole thing is a joke. It’s a manipulation. Both parties are horrible. The republicans are the lesser of the two evils, but they’re both bad. I just hope there are some “good” people wanting to clean up the mess we call Congress.

In my humble opinion, the election results had little to do with many of the reasons usually cited by pundits. Abortion was a big issue with single females, but the election didn’t hinge on their ‘right’ to kill their children. The election results weren’t because of Donald Trump. They weren’t because of Trump vs DeSantis. They weren’t because of Republican infighting.
The results were not because of covid policy.
This election should have wrecked the Democratic Party. All of the indicators that are used to predict elections were in the Republicans favor. The economy is a mess. The real inflation rate is at least 15%. Government spending is at an all time high... the primary cause of that inflation. More than 3 out of 4 people think that the country is headed in the wrong direction. Biden and his Hitler impersonation didn’t help. Dems in Congress show themselves to be more radical every day.
At last count the Republicans won 5 million more votes than the Democrats..... but the Dems won in the right places. They did it by concentrating their efforts on close races with ‘get out the vote’ efforts...... especially with mail in voting, drop boxes, and ballot harvesting. Republicans tend to look at these things as cheating, and rightfully so. The Constitution provides for one day of in person voting, not a couple of months of half assed maybe cheating.
The Republicans had better learn to counter mail in voting, drop boxes, and ballot harvesting. If they can’t counter them, then they had better learn how to do them better than the Democrats.

The GOP first has to regain power. That’s the conundrum. Those that stole power will NEVER surrender it, least of all to the one person who knows where the bodies are buried!
