Bossche reckons it will come to a head within the next couple of months.... then the real die-off begins.
Nothing will stop this. Every government on the planet is on board including opposition parties.
If protesters turn to violence they will be destroyed with the help of neighbours who will report terrorist activities to hotlines and help the commandos find and kill anyone who tries to tip the table over.
I'm thinking about now how great a decision it was not to have children....I'm think how fortunate it was to see the Big Picture at the time of GFC and pull out of the rat race to a great extent and get a decade + of bucket listing in before the system completely unravelled.
I have a good mate who works in finance who recently did a mea culpa and said I was prescient in doing what I did ... and that he was now going to do the same - once covid is over.
I didn't rain on his parade... but my thoughts were --- you are too late. That window of opportunity is over... we have very limited time left to live.
This is the biggest event in the history of man --- it's quite fascinating to live through the extinction of one's species. I would have preferred another 10-15 years though ... ideally making it to 70 with the body starting to break down ... but it's been a good run.
There is no saving us. We are 8B and we are basically eating oil and...
According to Rystad, the current resource replacement ratio for conventional resources is only 16 percent. Only 1 barrel out of every 6 consumed is being replaced with new resources
Shale binge has spoiled US reserves, top investor warns Financial Times.
Preface. Conventional crude oil production may have already peaked in 2008 at 69.5 million barrels per day (mb/d) according to Europe’s International Energy Agency (IEA 2018 p45). The U.S. Energy Information Agency shows global peak crude oil production at a later date in 2018 at 82.9 mb/d (EIA 2020) because they included tight oil, oil sands, and deep-sea oil. Though it will take several years of lower oil production to be sure the peak occurred. Regardless, world production has been on a plateau since 2005.
What’s saved the world from oil decline was unconventional tight “fracked” oil, which accounted for 63% of total U.S. crude oil production in 2019 and 83% of global oil growth from 2009 to 2019. So it’s a big deal if we’ve reached the peak of fracked oil, because that is also the peak of both conventional and unconventional oil and the decline of all oil in the future.

Those with nothing to lose sometimes make a difference.
What's the strategy.
I think maybe the people with children might save us...I don't know.
