I'm thinking about now how great a decision it was not to have children....I'm think how fortunate it was to see the Big Picture at the time of GFC and pull out of the rat race to a great extent and get a decade + of bucket listing in before the system completely unravelled.
I have a good mate who works in finance who recently did a mea culpa and said I was prescient in doing what I did ... and that he was now going to do the same - once covid is over.
I didn't rain on his parade... but my thoughts were --- you are too late. That window of opportunity is over... we have very limited time left to live.
This is the biggest event in the history of man --- it's quite fascinating to live through the extinction of one's species. I would have preferred another 10-15 years though ... ideally making it to 70 with the body starting to break down ... but it's been a good run.

The brave people and scientists that have been warning of policy error are totally sidelined and attacked. I would love to just call these people stupid, however, they are anything but. These not so brilliant and evil people have an agenda, and like the royalty of old, will not think twice to put we the people in harms way to enhance their pomp and pageantry.
The few good people within the corrupt governments of the world stick out like sore thumbs. The politicians who gave a very small voice to the vaxx injured, the ones who chastised Tru-dolt for being the tyrant that he is, the very few who pointed out that disaster will occur, due to the actions taken in Ukraine and when war predictably erupts, warns fuelling an unwinnable war to the last Ukrainian is evil. There is nothing subtle about the evil anymore. These good people are the famous exceptions that prove the rule.
The boot on our faces is clear, closing our eyes and hope for the best and follow the dictates will not stop that boot from grinding our humanity and lives into the dirt. Neither will yelling among the awake. I am a bit ashamed of how weak I really am. I dream of being a small part of my brothers and sister rising from the mud and trowing off the boot of oppression, however, here I sit yelling in space.

Current excess mortality remaining at increased levels
Birth rate lower than replacement rate in developed nations
Damaged immune systems from quackcines
Early indications of fertility/pregnancy problems
