Thank you for writing the inside story. HOWEVER, we elected POTUS TRUMP, not Fauci and certainly not Birx, etc. Trump tried???? Well, there are many who say Fauci tried and did the best he could (IMHO: Fauci deserves jail for what he did!).
In the end, Trump caved. You can say he tried his best but that is certainly not true. If Trump believed lockdowns would endanger people, destroy businesses, wreck our children, etc., then he should have stood his ground no matter the consequences.
The situation is worsened because he had two advisors --You and Dr. Atlas--who were giving a differnt opinion and, from you write, Trump agreed. But, in the end, he let things slide so he could get re-elected, not get killed by the MSM, etc.
