After this big snow I had, I cleared small areas in my back yard so I could put out birdseed for the wild birds. I have never had so many cardinals come to eat. I also had many blue jays, doves, starlings and sparrows. They were here since early morning.

Sometime mid morning I saw a sparrow having trouble. It was in a hole in the snow struggling to get out. The problem was it had injured its neck and could not maneuver properly, couldn't hold its head up straight and had no balance. I brought it in to at least keep it warm. It tries to perch on my hand, but falls over. It is strong, but cannot fly because of its instability. It does try.
I have it in a box, and hold and pet it once in awhile to comfort it. I had no thought or concern about "bird flu". So if I succumb to a respiratory illness please do NOT tell the "authorities" about the bird.
Crazy story from yesterday. I'm lying in bed having a phone chat, and I see a big-enough bird whiz the the window. With the snow and the cold, I haven't seen a bird in quite some time, not even sparrows. Well, this big bird was a hawk, and he just happened to park in our tree lawn tree. Next you know, small feathers are flying in the hefty wind. This hawk found himself a sparrow somewhere. Hawks gotta eat, too.
About two weeks ago I hung up one of those blocks of muet in the same tree. I haven't seen one bird stop by for a free meal.
Cardinals and blue jays are such pretty birds.
Kudos for taking in the bird. I'm with ya...I'd have no concern about "bird flu", either.
You have a wonderful heart. Stay that way… and as you know, we will never succumb to the bs… they want us to be in fear, and I will never give that to them.

Thank you.

This is the CCP party culture. Most Chinese who grew up under it are selfish in this way. The CCP is the destroyer of the world. Beware!
You think so? 🙂
SWAT will do a raid like with Peanut the squirrel.

sure do
Hopefully it's not too injured to recover. If not, at least it's end will be more pleasant than it would've been without your care!
And no, I would never tell! 🙂
Please verify that you have an adequate supply of Toilet paper so that you succumb with a squeaky clean ass.
AWESOME, Dave! Thanks for sharing.
This is all a lie so don’t worry. It’s all a control maneuver to scar humanity so we all stand in line again for a gene edited deadly shot.
