All true, but to clarify, Russia did NOT 'dissolve' the Minsk agreement. The Zelensky-led regime refused to abide to the agreement and was escalating its attacks against the 'rebel's' in the Donbass who refused to accept rule by the illegitimate government which gained control by coup in 2014. Russia recognized that 7 years of attempts to get Germany and France to pressure Ukraine's regime to comply were fruitless and futile. The Minsk agreement was already dead.
I am a physician of Ukrainian and French speaking Canadian descent in Vancouver Island who has spoken out 're public health orders. I have even spoken out at rallies where more than 5000 thousand people attended. The reason I spoke out is the harm I was seeing done by the lockdowns, vaccine mandates, vaccine passports, lack of informed consent ect,
I donated to the trucker's cause as well
And am appalled by our tyrannical Canadian government calling peaceful truckers fascist ect. And using the emergency act to come down on a peaceful protest.

What I am finding slightly appalling at this time is how easily we fall into a narrative about what is happening in Ukraine. My 22 year old ukrainian half brother who speaks both Ukrainian and Russian has cut his medical education short and has recently arrived to Canada from Kiev. He is lucky to have a Canadian passport. He has left behind his mother and grandparents. One of his grandparent is from Russian descent. Most Ukrainian speak BOTH russian and Ukrainian
When we look at what is actually happening on the grounds in Ukraine some of the most bombarded cities e.g. Mariupol is in Eastern Ukraine which is mostly Russian speaking
When people use safe corridors they are going West and not to Russia. Ukrainian refugees are arriving in Poland, Slovakia ect
Although far from perfect and also corrupt the standard of living is much higher in NATO countries as is the level of freedom
So if you were Ukrainian speaking either Russian or Ukrainian you are still Ukrainian
And do not want to go back to being under the thumb of a sociopathic tyrant who has become unhinged and is bombarding innocent civilians.
I think we need to draw a firm line somewhere as to rationalizing behaviours and I strongly draw the line when a sovereign nation in invaded, shelled and bombarded
