My view is that all we need to do is to protect the vulnerable high-risk best we could, ventilate homes, use nasal-oral washes that are effective on the nasal and oral mucosa, use early treatment especially in high-risk, and use vitamin D3 and use all the steps we showed that do work during the past fraud ‘PCR-driven pandemic. You do not lock down, no school closures, no business closures, no masks, no mask mandates, the masks never ever work (blue surgical, cloth masks etc.) and will never work. This is pure hype hysteria fear porn to enrich people more, and I have seen no data, NONE, to show that these new variants are more virulent. Yes, more infectious but this is vaccine driven now. This vaccinating using a flawed mismatched non-sterilizing vaccine is driving natural selection pressure on the virus, and we see original antigenic sin, viral immune escape, the role of immune tolerance with more boosting (IgG4 class swith and rise), and antibody dependent enhancement of infection. Nothing good will come out of any new already failed XBB 1.5 booster that will not match the dominant variant.
We do nothing, nothing, just protect the vulnerable as always. Why? Because NOTHING worked, every COVID policy failed!

All variants spread more easily but are always less lethal, provided of course you have a normal immune system. If they were more lethal, they'd kill off their human hosts and wouldn't be able to propagate. So that's the trade off. The only danger is to the jabbed.
