I worked in retail I remember the first day going to work, not one car on the highways, not one car on the expressway, like a movie, radio on hearing how many people had covid and how many died and dying. It was chilling. Special note if I was pulled over to show I was allowed to go to work. Taking temps. asking associates as they came in fever, feeling sick, cough, have you traveled out of the country. Crap, I don't even travel out of state. LOL. Same people old and young came and shopped going thru all the 6 ft apart, the masks etc. Even health dept made a visit and we passed the test. Someone had called and said we were not following the mandates. The person from the health dept. apologized and said that whenever someone called in and complained that they had to follow up. One nurse had came in and said had tested positive for Covid. Said their family was enjoying their time and was more like a vacation for them. No cough, sneeze nothing. Of course you had employees that would try and take advantage of the mandates. Easy for them because if they got tested, they were off a day or two until they got their results. Heck at the time, a visit to the Dr's and say you just felt bad got you tested.
