What Hegseth did here was long, long overdue. May it never be reversed (but it likely will be).

I'm no bigot - never have been, never will be - but allowing women into traditionally (by common sense) all-male roles was by far the biggest mistake ever made in US military history. I can testify to that first-hand after over 7 years of US military service as an officer. It's yet one more example of trying to force a square peg into a round hole - it **NEVER** works, not EVER!

Kind'a like walking up to Cinderella's Castle at Florida's Disneyland, and being greeted at the entrance by a bearded (man) freak in a tutu. YIKES!! Kind'a like the recent movie "Snow White" (the 2025 version) - a disaster that flopped as few movies ever have. The WOKE weirdos just can't seem to get it.

That is a rational position. I hope they are capable of enacting more of these kinds of principles.

Amazing that it took this long to come to a rational position. This is a great step forward for America, the land of "persons" and "pregnant people." I doubt they have had this problem in, to use "Americaspeak," "heteronormative, cisgender" countries.

the initial assessment is shocking...1 pushup in 2 minutes? if I recall.

America has her problems, but these can be corrected by being principled rather than the ongoing paradigm of pragmatism (the sacrifice of valid long term principles for the sake of short term conveniences).

I understand Realpolitik but you have a npoint.

America was the closest approximation ever towards implementing a valid (albeit flawed) theory of morality applicable to the real world (Aristotelian Rational Egoism), from which to base the laws of any land. As an approximation, it was flawed but it can be corrected. This is where Ayn Rands philosophy becomes relevant.

It is good to see that SECDEF reached a rational decision quickly. That he could do proves that he pases every risk analysis.

This is,amazing because I was told yesterday, on authority, whether or not good, from a troll who appeared to be missing a few neurons, that Hegseth could pass in each one of the multiple domains of RISK assessment that America's adversaries almost certainly conduct on their own troops.

Based on the principle that the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior, the troll assessed that the RISK of organic impairment from past, repeated consumption of alcohol on multiple occasions to brown out level BAL = ZERO.

He/she, whatever its pronouns are, also assessed that the risk of inebriation on duty for someone with a history of brown out level drinking is also the same as that of President Trump, who is a teetotaller, i.e. = ZERO.

Risk of undiagnosed physiological dependence = ZERO.

Risk of relapse after recovery = ZERO.

Risk of loss of impulse control from past brown out = ZERO

and so on

That troll should work for China. Actually, he/she/it probably does

Women should not be in combat roles. Support roles are different. But until they find a way to turn off the chivalry gene in decent men, having a woman in the 'foxhole' skews the units focus and effectiveness. Any men who would say it wouldn't affect them probably have some latent sociopathic and/or psychopathic issues. Soldiers should be able to carry not only their own full gear, but a lot of an injured buddy's when need be. Standards are too low now. And the same could be said for firemen and policemen. A big city near me has a lot of 'bowling ball' women out on the street as policewomen. When there is a bad dude acting bad, they wait around for the linebacker policeman to show up to really handle the situation. DEI and political correctness had put not only our frontline personnel in danger, but society too.

This is obviously fake news. I was told yesterday, on good authority from one who gathered information from multiple credible sources, that Hegseth was an error-prone, aftershave-drinking, imminent threat the the security of the USA.

How many are injured by the mRNA jabs

Absolutely ZERO. The mRNA jabs are good for you. If they weren't they would not still be being rolled out now that Biden is gone.
